Raiders Just Gifted Chiefs the Perfect Wide Receiver Signing
The Kansas City Chiefs don't need any help dominating the AFC West. They've won the division in each of the last eight NFL seasons, and they're massive favorites to do it again in 2024.
But apparently not content with just how dominant the Chiefs are, the Las Vegas Raiders have pulled a move that could make KC an even bigger favorite. They're releasing a key offensive player who could fit perfectly in the Chiefs' offense.

Chiefs Rumors: Hunter Renfrow a Perfect Free Agent Target?
The Las Vegas Raiders plan to release wide receiver Hunter Renfrow on Wednesday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Renfrow was a Pro Bowler in 2021 and opened his career with three straight 600-plus yard seasons before seeing his role diminish in 2022 and 2023.
Wide receiver is a position the Chiefs can't ignore this offseason, and while Renfrow wouldn't completely shore up any needs there, he would be a big boost to this offense.
The 2023 season was his least productive as a pro, but I'm not all that concerned. The Raiders' passing game was absolutely terrible, and with Davante Adams soaking up most of their valuable targets he didn't get much of an opportunity. This is still a guy who averaged 8.3 yards per target over his first three seasons.
For context, that average would have put him between Travis Kelce (8.1) and Justin Watson (8.7) at third place among non-running backs on the Chiefs' roster in 2023. And Renfrow wasn't exactly getting Patrick Mahomes level quarterback play when he did it.
He just turned 28 years old in December, so it's also not really a concern that he's somehow now past his prime and can't play at the level he did in those early seasons. A change of scenery could be exactly what Renfrow needs to return to form as a Pro Bowler, and with those recent struggles he should also be available at a discount price.
