2. DT Kris Jenkins, Michigan
The Chiefs are in danger of losing some key defensive line pieces this offseason. Defensive tackle Chris Jones and defensive end Michael Danna are both pending free agents at the moment. Although one (or both) could eventually return, it's never a bad idea to add more D-line depth.
With that in mind, it's a no-brainer for the Chiefs to look at Michigan DT Kris Jenkins.
The Chiefs were the NFL's biggest winners during the 2023 season, so why not add a player who already knows how to win? After all, Jenkins was an integral part of the Wolverines' 2024 National Championship run, meaning he has the type of experience that'd make him fit into Kansas City like a glove.

Jenkins was solid for Michigan throughout the 2023 campaign. The 22-year-old racked up 17 solo tackles and 2.5 sacks across 15 games, even recording his first-ever interception and fumble recovery. He also recorded a pair of tackles against Washington at the CFP National Championship before earning second-team All-American and All-Big Ten honors.
At 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, Jenkins would add a lot of size to Kansas City's frontline. He's got great hands that help him get by blockers to help stop the run, which would be an asset given that the Chiefs surrendered 15th-most rushing yards and ninth-most yards per carry last season.
Even if the Chiefs retain the likes of Jones and Danna, could you imagine how dangerous the defense would be with Jenkins in the mix, too? I'm loving it already.
