2. Week 10 - vs. Denver Broncos, Nov. 10, 12:00 PM

This Week 10 tilt is another important divisional contest that the Chiefs need to win. They'll travel to Buffalo to face the Bills in Week 11, so there's a risk of a trap game, but I have confidence in Andy Reid to make sure his guys are ready.

Just like the Raiders, the Broncos beat the Chiefs last year in their second game. Kansas City had won a remarkable 16 consecutive games against Denver prior to the stunning loss, dating all the way back to the 2015 season when Mahomes was still at Texas Tech. The organization will be itching for vengeance and I have no faith in the overall direction of the Broncos.

Drafting Bo Nix at No. 12 overall looked like a reach of epic proportions when it happened and I expect significant growing pains for the rookie QB. Facing Steve Spagnuolo's defense will be his stiffest test in the young season and I would be surprised to see Denver put up more than 10 points.

There's also the element of petty Patrick Mahomes. Sean Payton was sure to tell the world how badly he wanted to draft the three-time Super Bowl MVP and reports indicated Denver's coach thinks Nix is at Mahomes' level.

Frankly, I don't imagine Mahomes was a fan of those comments. Expect a supernova performance as Patrick proves that Nix is not, in fact, at his level of play under center. For those scoring at home, the Chiefs are nine-point favorites and -410 on the moneyline.
