The Kansas City Chiefs had a pretty successful offseason overall. Fans would have loved to keep L'Jarius Sneed around or get a better trade package for him but the Chiefs are still in a great position to have a chance at the historic three-peat. Bringing in several additions in positions of need and retaining most of the key players, Kansas City took care of the majority of their off-season priorities.

There are still a few areas that they could use more depth in. For a team chasing a Super Bowl win, adding more players with Super Bowl experience is a smart strategy. Here are three players who are still on the market that fit the bill.

Cam Akers, RB

Unfortunately, Akers suffered the second Achilles tear of his career in November so he will likely miss part of the 2024 NFL season. So perhaps this could be more of a mid-season addition but Akers is still young and has plenty of upside.

The Chiefs still need more depth in the running back room. Akers will not be the RB2 to start the season, but he could progress into the role of backing up Isiah Pacheco as the season goes on.

After his first Achilles tear, Akers miraculously returned to action in five months and played a part in the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl victory. In his first full season after that, he put up 786 rushing yards on 188 attempts and nine touchdowns.

Whether he can replicate that level of performance after a second surgery remains to be seen but he is certainly worth a flyer for the Chiefs.
