3. Kingsley Suamataia - LT

Andy Reid initially told reporters that both Kingsley Suamataia and Wanya Morris would split time at left tackle, yet Morris drew the start and a majority of the snaps against the Falcons. Theoretically, Suamataia is still the long-term answer to protect Mahomes' blind side. However, early returns have not been promising.

Suamataia has been forced to block some of the best pass-rushers in the league. Trey Hendrickson of the Bengals gave him his "welcome to the NFL" moment, so it's now on Suamataia to develop and respond. The organization has faith in him, though they can't afford to be patient given the importance of every game.

Morris didn't fare much better. Mahomes was under duress for most of the night, and speedy development from Suamataia would go a long way in improving the passing game.

The left tackle position is suddenly becoming a problem. We saw in the Super Bowl loss to Tampa Bay how important offensive line play is. If Suamataia doesn't turn into the valuable lineman the coaching staff believes he can be, Kansas City could have an issue once the playoffs roll around.

Perhaps this can just be a learning moment from Suamataia. The Chiefs need him to improve and the coaches are certainly capable of accelerating that growth.

There's a lot of pressure on Suamataia's shoulders and he'll be one of the team's biggest "X-Factors" moving forward.
