3 Chiefs on Thin Ice After Heartbreaking Loss to Bills in Week 14
By Joe Summers
3. Patrick Mahomes - QB
This pains me as much as it pains you. At the end of the day, Mahomes simply has to be better.
He had yet another costly interception on a poor throw, then got angry in a way we've never seen before after the game attacking the referees. It goes without saying, the Chiefs are in turmoil right now.
Simultaneously, the Chiefs' chances at the No. 1 seed and Mahomes' hopes for a third MVP vanished into thin air. He had a serviceable game, completing 25/43 passes for 271 yards with a score and the aforementioned interception, yet all involved have to be disappointed with the production.
Mahomes has every right to be frustrated. However, this is the first time we've seen him this visably shaken.
The Chiefs have a great opportunity to get back on track against the Patriots in Week 15, but Mahomes simply must be better. He's on pace for a career-worst season and has made abnormal mistakes we don't typically see him make.
It's a bad day for Chiefs Kingdom and everyone shares blame. Unfortunately, we're at the point where our beloved King of Kansas City is at fault as well.
