3 Chiefs on the Trade Block on Draft Day
3. Skyy Moore, WR
Chiefs fans had high hopes for Skyy Moore when the franchise used the 2021 draft's No. 54 selection to target him. The former Western Michigan product was coming off a massive performance with the Broncos that saw him rack up 1,292 receiving yards with a MAC-leading 10 touchdowns.
Unfortunately, Moore hasn't found his groove at the NFL level just yet. The 23-year-old playmaker was largely a non-factor throughout the 2023 campaign, only making 21 catches for 244 yards and a touchdown. His catch percentage dropped to a putrid 55.3% (down from 66.7% as a rookie) while his 50.8 passer rating when targeted further showcased his unreliability.
Like Toney, Moore seems to be like someone who'd benefit from a fresh start. He's young enough to have enough room for improvement, but that doesn't mean that Kansas City is the best environment for him. It might be beneficial if he played elsewhere where the pressure to succeed is a bit lower.
Even if Veach can only get a low-round pick in a trade, moving Moore must be considered if it means potentially replacing him with a more reliable set of hands.
