2. DE Mike Danna

The Chiefs had one of the NFL's best defenses last season and a lot of that had to do with players having career years. One of those individuals in question is none other than free-agent defensive end Michael Danna.

A fifth-round pick by Kansas City in 2020, Danna continues to improve with each passing year and the 2023 campaign was his best to date. According to Pro Football Focus, the former Michigan Wolverine set new personal bests in total pressures (41), sacks (8), solo tackles (34), and run stops (31).

He also showed improved discipline, going the entire regular season without taking a penalty while missing a career-low 6.4% of his tackling attempts.

Even though he's coming off a career year, there haven't been any teams linked to Danna this offseason. It's surprising, but it could also mean good news for the Chiefs since it might imply that they won't have to compete with other teams to bring the 26-year-old back to the fold.

Danna has become an important part of Kansas City's defense and it'd be silly if the Chiefs didn't at least consider bringing him back. He's only going to get better with another Super Bowl run under his belt, so why not see if he can reach double-digit sacks in Chiefs colors next season?
