10 Chiefs Entering Their Final Season With Kansas City
6. Justin Watson, WR
Wide receivers tend to have their career years while playing with Patrick Mahomes, and Justin Watson is one of those individuals.
In his second season with the Chiefs, the 29-year-old playmaker was targeted 53 times across 16 games. He hauled in 27 of those balls for 460 receiving yards and three touchdowns, both of which were career highs. He also caught six passes for another 90 receiving yards and four first downs throughout Kansas City's postseason run, which earned him his third Super Bowl ring since 2020.
Nevertheless, the 2024 NFL season is a big one for the veteran pass-catcher. He's scheduled to hit free agency in the spring, meaning he can't afford to regress now that the Chiefs loaded up their WR room this offseason. It was one thing for him to earn opportunities last year, but the situation might be tougher this time around.
With three other Chiefs wideouts hitting the next free agency period, Watson can't afford to make any noticeable mistakes.
