2. Noah Gray, TE

The 2024 NFL season marks tight end Noah Gray's fourth year with the Chiefs. The former 2021 162nd-overall pick was selected to be Travis Kelce's potential replacement one day and his play has only improved every year.

The 2023 campaign was Gray's best to date as he turned 28 receptions into 305 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. He also made his presence felt during the Chiefs' latest Super Bowl run, recording eight catches for 66 more yards and a trio of first downs.

Gray is only 25 years old, so it's entirely possible that his best days have yet to arrive. At the same time, there are reasons to believe that his time in Kansas City might not last much longer.

For starters, the upcoming season is a contract year for Gray, who's slated to hit free agency once it opens in March. While many Chiefs fans would love for him to be re-signed, the TE room has become more crowded this offseason with the arrivals of rookies Jared Wiley and Baylor Cupp. That's without mentioning how the team acquired TE Peyton Hendershot from the Dallas Cowboys ahead of the 53-man roster deadline.

Considering how Wiley, Cupp, and Hendershot are all in their mid-20s, it's clear that Gray must do what he can to separate himself from the pack. If any of his counterparts outshine him, the Chiefs might be less than inclined to bring him back next spring.
