10. Charles Omenihu, DE
After beginning his NFL career with the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers, standout edge rusher Charles Omenihu signed a two-year contract with the Chiefs last offseason. The ex-Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year wanted an opportunity to further showcase his abilities and that's exactly what he got in Kansas City.
Omenihu missed the first six games of the season after violating the league's personal conduct policy, but that didn't prevent him from making an on-field impact. The Houston, TX native tallied career highs in solo tackles (18) and sacks (7.0 while adding two defended passes and a pair of broken-up fumbles despite only playing in 11 games (1 start).
Omenihu was making his presence felt during the Chiefs' playoff run before tearing his ACL against the Baltimore Ravens during the AFC Championship Game. While his recovery has gone well thus far, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported at the end of April that the former Longhorn likely won't be back in the lineup until November.
The #Chiefs will keep pass-rusher Charles Omenihu, who tore his ACL in the AFC Title game, on the PUP list with hopes of a November return. Some potential mid-season help.

Everyone recovers from ACL injuries differently, so we'll have to see how Omenihu — who carries a $10.9 million cap hit — looks upon his return. He'll only have a handful of regular-season games and the postseason to convince the Chiefs that they should re-sign him before he hits free agency in 2025.
If he can't recreate last year's magic, the Chiefs might not be willing to shell out the big bucks for his return.
