The Kansas City Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl and will vie for a third straight title when they meet the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on Sunday. The Chiefs being back on football's biggest stage is a testament to how well-run the organization is, and a lot of that has to do with head coach Andy Reid.

The 66-year-old bench boss is one of the best to do it in NFL history. Reid's career has reached the point where he can attract players to Kansas City based on his name alone, and that fact was re-cemented on Monday.

Chiefs News: QB Jameis Winston Wants to Play for Andy Reid

Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston is on-site at Super Bowl 60 as one of FOX Sports' digital correspondents. The veteran signal-caller had a chance to speak to Reid on Monday and used the opportunity to make it clear he'd love to play under the Chiefs HC one day.

"I'm honored to grow up during this time to see you coaching in multiple Super Bowls for my favorite team and now the Kansas City Chiefs," Winston told Reid. "Man, I hope I can play for you one day. I know it's free agency."

The interaction ended on a complimentary note as Reid told Winston he wished that he could throw a football as well as the former 5,000-yard passer.

Even though Winston said he wanted to play for Reid rather than the Chiefs, that partnership can likely only happen in Kansas City. Team chairman/CEO Clark Hunt made it clear back that the three-time Super Bowl-winning coach isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Having said that, with backup QB Carson Wentz becoming a free agent in March, it's hard not to like the idea of Winston playing behind Patrick Mahomes next season.

The former 2015 first-overall picked is one of the NFL's more capable backup signal-callers at the moment. Thrust into the spotlight when Browns starting QB Deshaun Watson went down with another season-ending injury, Winston went on to record 2,121 passing yards, 13 touchdowns (to 12 interceptions), and an 80.6 passer rating across 12 games (7 starts).

The ex-Florida State gunslinger has now racked up over 24,000 passing yards and 154 TDs across his 10-year career, boasting the type of experience Reid loves to have in a backup QB.

NFL free agency officially begins on Wednesday, March 12, meaning it won't be too long before Chiefs fans learn if Winston is on his way to KC. Not only would the fanbase love what he brings to the field, but his personality also guarantees he'd be an instant fan favorite.
