2. Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

The Chiefs defensive line is led by Chris Jones, who is still playing at a top-notch level. They also have George Karlaftis along the defensive front, but Kansas City could use another presence along the interior next to Jones.

Grant has the power to dominate centers and control the A-gap. He can eat up blocks in the run game and owns the strength to win one-on-one matchups consistently. Grant can also win with a swim-move but will get his hands up at the line of scrimmage if he can't get home.

In 41 collegiate games, Grant has compiled 69 total tackles, 12 TFLs, 10 pass deflections, and 6.5 sacks.

The addition of Grant would give the Chiefs another force who can be disruptive as both a pass-rusher and run-stopper.

Kansas City was eighth in the NFL in rushing defense (101.8) but there's room for improvement. Grant would create more havoc upfront and give the Chiefs more disruptors along the defensive line.

3. Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina

The Chiefs have a low-key need at cornerback. Trent McDuffie is their star in that secondary, but behind him, there could be a cause for concern.

They have Jaylen Watson in the fold, but he missed time this season with a broken tibia-fibula. They could add another playmaker to that group and East Carolina's Shavon Revel Jr. would be a good option.

Revel Jr. is a lengthy defender (6-foot-3) who uses that size to his advantage. He has outstanding straight line speed and great ball skills. The North Carolina native tore his ACL in September 2024 but should be ready for training camp.

In 24 collegiate games, Revel Jr. had 70 total tackles, 15 pass breakups, and three interceptions. There may be some questions about Revel Jr. since he has only one year of great production under his belt, but the 22-year-old has the tools that teams look for.

Adding a playmaker like Revel to the secondary would be an ideal addition to bolster the secondary for 2025 and beyond.
