Chiefs WR DeAndre Hopkins had a dominant Week 9 effort in Kansas City's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he's now made two excellent posts on social media.

Shortly after sharing his highlights from the two-TD effort, Hopkins posted a simple picture with grand implications. He and Patrick Mahomes already look like the NFL's next great duo, though Hopkins is thinking about the historical implications of their partnership. Through just one game as the home team at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, Hopkins is dreaming big.

Most believe that Mahomes is only chasing the ghost of Tom Brady in career accolades, so what if he's just found his version of Randy Moss?

Chiefs WR DeAndre Hopkins Shares Lofty Comparison on Social Media

In a since-deleted post on X (Twitter), Hopkins shared a photo of Brady and Moss, implying that he and Mahomes were the new version. His suggestion has deeper meaning too, as Brady and Moss' first year together was their undefeated run.

Those two ultimately lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl against a defense led by Steve Spagnuolo, but Mahomes and Hopkins could have an opportunity to finish the job.

The Chiefs are 8-0, the clear best team in the NFL. Hopkins' arrival seems to have supercharged Mahomes, so perhaps they can reach a three-peat while simultaneously never losing.

There's no better way to cement your status in the historical arguments. Brady never went undefeated nor won three straight Super Bowls. With each passing week, it looks like Mahomes can do both.

As long Kansas City hoists another Lombardi Trophy, all will be happy. Hopkins would have a budding case for the Hall of Fame and the Chiefs would have their piece of legend.

There's a long way to go but Hopkins looks ready to leave a mark.
