Injured Chief Makes Fun of Broncos on Twitter After Surprise Win
By Cem Yolbulan
The Kansas City Chiefs just won their 15th straight game dating back to last season and improved to 9-0 for the year. Every week, Andy Reid & Co. finds a new way to win and Week 10 was no different.
After falling behind 14-3 in the first half, the Chiefs shut down the Broncos in the second half to secure the comeback win. The highlight of the game was the last-second block on Will Lutz's 35-yard field goal attempt by Leo Chenal.
Following the game, certain Chiefs players didn't waste any time before starting to troll their division rivals. Injured cornerback Jaylen Watson took to social media to say the Broncos were ready to celebrate like they had won the Super Bowl.
Chiefs News: Jaylen Watson Trolls the Broncos After Week 10 Win
Watson is probably not wrong about how the Broncos would have reacted to a win in Kansas City. They haven't won a game at Arrowhead since 2015 and have won only once in the last 18 games between the teams. Giving the Chiefs their first loss of the season would have meant a lot to a franchise that hasn't had a winning season in eight years.
The Broncos will have to wait until the final game of the season to try again. The Week 18 matchup could have massive repercussions. The Chiefs may be chasing a historic 17-0 season, while the Broncos may be chasing a playoff spot.
Jaylen Watson is currently on the injured reserve list with a fractured ankle but has hinted at the possibility of returning for a late-season push. Regardless of whether he is out there on the field or not, the talented defender isn't missing the opportunity to poke fun at the Chiefs' rivals.
