Training camp for all 32 NFL teams is officially underway across the league. The Kansas City Chiefs had their first practice take place on Tuesday, and receiver Rashee Rice was picking up right where he left off prior to going down for the year with a knee injury.

While the Chiefs are looking to bounce back and make another run at the Super Bowl, former WR Tyreek Hill is working through some things with his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa was speaking with members of the media on Wednesday and said that Hill is still rebuilding the relationship with him and the rest of the team after the receivers' "I'm out" comments after a Week 18 loss to the New York Jets last season.

Tagovailoa added, "When you say something like that you don’t just come back with ‘My bad.’ You gotta work that relationship up. He is working on himself.”

Former Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill’s Relationship with Dolphins is Shaky

Hill's comments came after the Dolphins lost 32-20 to the Jets to end the regular season. He stated, "It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I got to do what's best for my career. I'm too much of a competitor to be just out there."

Over the offseason, Hill came out and took accountability for his statements and told the media on Tuesday that he changed his mindset during the last couple of months.

"This whole offseason, I've been busting my tail. I told my dad I want to see what it looks like when I just focus on football, on myself and family ... I feel like I haven't been giving the best version of Tyreek my whole entire career. I've always been trying to be here and be there, but me being able to slow down a little bit, train and bust my tail for myself and then also for this community and this team, I feel like it'll be worth it."

Even though he's saying the right things now, Hill's comments certainly ruffled some feathers inside that building, and his quarterback is one of them.

During Hill's time with the Dolphins, he put up some great numbers, which come out to 319 catches, 4,468 receiving yards, and 26 touchdowns, including two seasons with 1,700-plus receiving yards. Despite that, he hasn't seen the success in the postseason, as he's winless in Miami (0-2).

That isn't what the ex-Chiefs playmaker was used to in KC, and the losing started to get to him. There have been rumors circulating all offseason that Hill could be traded, but they are focused on heading into the 2025 season and seeing what can happen.

If the Dolphins are underwhelming again, in combination with his statements last January, the writing will likely be on the wall soon. Hill's teammates are looking at him differently, and with Tagovailoa being one of them, it'll be interesting to see if this affects their rapport on the football field.
