Former Chiefs Champion Beefing With Current Team's Fans in Week 12
The Kansas City Chiefs are 9-1 on the season and are coming off their first loss. They fell 30-21 to the Buffalo Bills but have an ideal bounce-back contest against the Carolina Panthers in Week 12.
While they are seeking to get back into the win column, a former member of the Chiefs Super Bowl squad is beefing with the fanbase of his current team.
NFL News: Juan Thornhill Is Being Criticism With Browns Fans
Safety Juan Thornhill has been getting called out by Browns fans after his lackluster performance in Week 11 against the New Orleans Saints. In the second quarter, Thornhill was seen jogging after Marquez Valdes-Scantling on a 71-yard touchdown grab. The effort was embarrassing and was called out by the fans.
Instead of taking accountability for this play, Thornhill posted a Forrest Gump GIF on his Instagram account with the caption, "Me Thursday." That response didn't go over well with Browns fans.
Back in 2023, the Virginia product signed with the Browns on a three-year, $21 million deal. Ever since he joined Cleveland, he's been dealing with injuries and has seen his play take a dip. This year, he's missed five games due to a calf injury. The 29-year-old has 25 total tackles with one pass breakup. Per PFF, he has a 53.9 coverage grade.
When he was with the Chiefs from 2019-2022, he was an effective player in the secondary. He finished with 234 total tackles, five tackles for loss, and eight interceptions.
His play hasn't elevated to that level since, and now he has problems with Browns fans.
