The Kansas City Chiefs received positive news last week when JuJu Smith-Schuster returned to the lineup. Smith-Schuster missed the previous three games with a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Although Smith-Schuster returned to the lineup last week, he was on a pitch count. Out of the Chiefs' 52 offensive plays, Smith-Schuster played 17 snaps, 12 passes, and five runs. In those snaps, Smith-Schuster recorded one catch on one target for eight yards.

Smith-Schuster's lack of participation in last week's game showed he wasn't fully healthy. Thankfully, it sounds like Smith-Schuster is now fully recovered.

On Wednesday, Smith-Schuster told reporters he feels 100%.

Smith-Schuster confirming he feels 100% is a good sign for the offense. Before injuring his hamstring in Week 7, Smith-Schuster had a great game against New Orleans, recording seven catches on eight targets for 130 yards.

Although expecting Smith-Schuster to replicate those numbers every week was unrealistic, many believed he was about to become a bigger part of the Chief's passing attack. Unfortunately for Smith-Schuster, his injury forced the Chiefs to trade for DeAndre Hopkins.

Hopkins's acquisition means that Smith-Schuster will no longer be the number one wide receiver. Despite that, Smith-Schuster should still see high target volume coming off the injury.

Having Smith-Schuster fully healthy should add a dynamic to the Chiefs' passing offense that hasn't been seen since Rashee Rice went down. If that happens, the Chiefs' path to a third consecutive Super Bowl just got a whole lot easier.
