Former Chiefs superstar WR Tyreek Hill caused mayhem earlier this week when he seemingly quit on the Dolphins mid-game and declared his intentions to leave Miami.

For a brief moment it sounded like the five-time All-Pro could entertain a reunion with Kansas City via trade, though his agent Drew Rosenhaus tried to silence the rumors on Thursday. Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show on ESPN, Rosenhaus said that his client is committed to the Dolphins.

He also revealed that Hill broke his wrist in training camp, providing cover for the 30-year-old wideout's first healthy season with fewer than 1,000 yards since his rookie campaign in 2016.

Former Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill's Agent Says He's Committed to Dolphins

It was a disappointing season for Miami, entering the year with Super Bowl aspirations before an injury to QB Tua Tagovailoa derailed those hopes. Hill dealt with off-field drama as well, so perhaps his comments after the Dolphins were eliminated simply came from a frustrated player.

This is the first time in his career that he didn't make the postseason, though it's hard to argue that he's not still an elite receiver. If he did in fact play the entire season hurt, it's reasonable to expect that Hill's production will noticeably improve in 2025.

He has a cap hit just under $28.7 million next year before Miami has a potential out. Hill's cap hit balloons to over $51 million should the Dolphins keep him, making it likely that some sort of trade or reworked contract will happen at some point before the end of next season. After reaching incredible heights with 1,799 receiving yards and 13 TDs in 2023, Hill's value moving forward doesn't justify sacrificing over $50 million in space.

No matter what happens, this doesn't feel like the last we'll hear of Hill. Agents can control the damage as much as they want, though it's clear regardless that Hill is at least considering his options. Tagovailoa and the Dolphins don't feel like contenders with or without Hill and he likely knows it too.

Hill's watched all of his old friends keep winning Super Bowls while his new team struggles. Even if Rosenhaus suggests otherwise, that has to be on his mind to some degree.
