The Kansas City Chiefs will head into the third phase of OTAs from June 10 to June 13 before mandatory mincamp is underway from June 17 to June 19.
Meanwhile, around the league, minicamps are about to get underway, and teams are looking to make some additions to their 90-man rosters.
And a former Chiefs defender, Damon Arnette, worked out for the Houston Texans.

Former Chiefs CB Damon Arnette Worked Out With the Houston Texans
Arnette had a brief stint with the Chiefs in 2022, after signing a reserve-future deal. The Ohio State product was let go by the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021 after a video showed him making threats while carrying guns.
Shortly after signing with Kansas City, he was arrested for charges that included assault. He was quickly released after that incident. After these legal troubles, he spent time away from the league before joining the Houston Roughnecks of the UFL.
This past season with the Roughnecks, Arnette had 17 solo tackles and a 51-yard interception returned for a touchdown.
The Texans have a void in their secondary after Ronald Darby retired last week. Arnette was a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft for a reason. He was the talent needed to stick in the league, but his legal problems put him in some trouble.
It looks like the time away from the NFL put him in the right mindset, and his performance in the UFL put him back on NFL teams' radar.
Arnette revealed that his children are the driving force for him to stay locked in on football.
He said, "Yeah, because my kids deserve everything that I’m able to offer them and they didn’t ask to be here. They’re innocent and they’re my responsibility. So, if I have the ability or the potential to provide them with a life that I never had, it’s my job to give it to them.”
We'll have to see if the Texans believe he'll be a good addition to their team. Regardless, the former Chief is looking to turn his career around and could land back inside the AFC if all goes well.
