The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are going to link up in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9. This is a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, where the Chiefs won 38-35.

The Eagles are seeking to get revenge while the Chiefs are chasing history. No team in NFL history has won three consecutive Super Bowl championships and Kansas City has that on their mind.

When you win as much as the Chiefs have recently, the haters are going to come in full force. Many fans and players around the league will be rooting for the Eagles to take down Kansas City. Deebo Samuel is one player who has come out and said he wants Philadelphia to win.

Despite the overwhelming support of the Eagles, the Chiefs have a surprising player in their corner rooting for them. Former New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi is someone who wouldn't mind seeing the Chiefs 3-peat.

Chiefs News: Tedy Bruschi Wouldn’t Mind Seeing Chiefs Win Super Bowl LIX

In an interview with Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, Bruschi said he doesn't get why Patriots fans are rooting against the Chiefs, especially since New England was the last dynasty in the NFL so they should understand where Kansas City is coming from.

"Wishing for someone to fail is weak. Truthfully, I don’t understand all the hate from New England fans. Don’t you remember our teams being hated for what we were doing?"

Bruschi added, "It’s not about rooting, it’s about curiosity, and I’m curious to see if it could be done. Nobody can ever take anything away from us, ever. But I always want to see if the unachievable is possible. And if they do it, I would just have a great respect and appreciation for a team that was able to do things that no one had ever done before."

Before the Chiefs won back-to-back Super Bowls in 2022 and 2023, the Patriots were the last team to do so in 2003 and 2004.

Bruschi played a pivotal role in those championships and knows how hard it is to return to the mountaintop.

Granted, the Chiefs and the Patriots collided in the 2019 AFC Championship, where New England beat Kansas City 37-31, led by Tom Brady. These two teams don't have a ton of love for each other.

The 51-year-old isn't jumping on the bandwagon of hating on the Chiefs. Instead, he would love to see them 3-peat and achieve something that's never been done before.
