The beginning of the NFL season is always one of the most fun times of the year. Not only are all 32 fan bases excited for the year to come, but most pundits also have a Super Bowl prediction they're ready to fire off before the season starts. Naturally, at the end of the year, some of these predictions can be funny to look back on.
That said, one former Super Bowl champion gave a prediction Chiefs Kingdom would be more than happy with. According to Chiefs Blitz on X, Kurt Warner has the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LX as his official prediction. If this comes true, Kansas City would get revenge for its horrible loss to Philadelphia in the previous Super Bowl.
Kurt Warner Believes Chiefs Will Redeem Their Super Bowl Loss in 2026
Warner's Super Bowl prediction for 2026 is one of the most grounded takes fans will find. Entering this season, both the Chiefs and Eagles are the expected favorites to return to the Super Bowl. Philadelphia still possesses one of the best rosters in the NFL, even after losing key starters on defense and shuffling some of its offensive line.
The Chiefs, on the other hand, should never be counted out with Patrick Mahomes under center. Over the past two seasons, Mahomes has been able to elevate mediocre receiving corps into Super Bowl-caliber units. Though the 2024 campaign ended poorly, largely due to the offensive line, Kansas City has rebuilt that unit this offseason.
The Chiefs drafted left tackle Josh Simmons, signed offensive tackle Jaylon Moore, and moved Kingsley Suamataia to left guard. While Moore was originally expected to start at left tackle, Simmons was able to recover from his torn patellar tendon quicker than expected and looked ready to play.
Thus, it provides Kansas City with one of its deepest offensive lines in a while. Moreover, the team's receiving corps looks to be one of the best since Tyreek Hill left. Despite Rashee Rice being suspended for the first six games, Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyquan Thornton, and maybe even rookie Jalen Royals will fill in.
That's before mentioning the stacked tight end room with Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, Robert Tonyan, and Jared Wiley. Despite some legitimate questions about the defense, Chiefs fans can rest easy knowing that Steve Spagnuolo will have his unit playing to the best of its ability.
With that being said, if Warner's prediction comes true, Chiefs Kingdom will no longer have to be as embarrassed about its loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. Instead, they can rewrite a new chapter to not only the championship legacy in Kansas City but in Philadelphia as well.
