It's a beautiful, special day in Kansas City as these Chiefs are onto their fifth Super Bowl in six seasons. They defeated a vaunted Buffalo Bills team in the AFC Championship and now the players have a few days to celebrate before turning their attention to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Standout linebacker Drue Tranquill has only been around since last year though is a perfect fit for defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo's defense. Off the field, he's an ideal representative of Kansas City and how much this city loves this team.

That was made apparent on social media after the Chiefs' thrilling victory, as Tranquill took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share his thoughts on those whining about preferential treatment from referees.

Drue Tranquill Calls Out Chiefs Haters After Beating Bills

Tranquill gave the Bills props, though quickly turned his attention to the referee discussion that plagued most of the week. "The rest of y'all can take all that 'ref' talk & kick rocks," Tranquill wrote. "We stand on business."

Widely regarded as one of the better coverage linebackers in the game, Tranquill represents one of the better acquisitions in free agency that general manager Brett Veach has made in his tenure. He had 94 tackles, two sacks, and two fumble recoveries while ranking 78th out of 189 qualified linebackers at Pro Football Focus.

After coming over from a division rival in the Los Angeles Chargers, Tranquill quickly became one of Spagnuolo's most trusted defenders. He's now a Super Bowl champion with a chance to win another, cementing himself as one of the more impactful players on this team. At the least, he's ingratiated himself to Kansas City and become a beloved player.

Based on comments like these, it's hard to see Tranquill playing anywhere else. The Chiefs are currently 1.5-point favorites at FanDuel Sportsbook over the Eagles, meaning oddsmakers believe Kansas City will soon be hoisting another Lombardi Trophy.
