The Chiefs enter their Week 6 bye having dealt with numerous injuries throughout the young season, though head coach Andy Reid had positive news to report after Kansas City's Monday Night Football victory.

Despite Rashee Rice's ongoing uncertainty, Reid had no new injuries to report. Everyone who played against the Saints made it through unscathed, a welcome development given how thin the roster's depth has quickly become.

This bye couldn't have come at a better time, giving the Chiefs an opportunity to regroup before facing the 49ers in a Super Bowl rematch in Week 7.

Andy Reid Announces No New Chiefs Injuries After Week 5 vs. Saints

Between Rice, Isiah Pacheco, and Hollywood Brown, the Chiefs have dealt with enough injuries. That's not to mention the ailments players like Justin Reid and Nick Bolton endured throughout training camp.

Starting left tackle Wanya Morris went down in the middle of the game against the Saints, giving rookie second-round pick Kingsley Suamataia a few plays. Suamataia fared well, though Morris was quickly able to return.

Despite all of the injuries and playing the NFL's most difficult schedule thus far, Kansas City is 5-0. The 49ers are a tough game in Week 7, though things lighten up considerably after that. Given how much the rest of the conference is struggling, the Chiefs could have the No. 1 seed in the AFC wrapped up sooner than we thought possible.

For a team trying to win a third straight Super Bowl, the start is encouraging to say the least. Rice may be done for the season, yet the organization is still rolling along without missing a beat. Here's hoping they've already seen all of the major injuries they'll have to deal with for the season.
