The Kansas City Chiefs came back down to earth when they were defeated in the Super Bowl 40-22 at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Chiefs will use the next couple of months to find ways to improve this roster. Shortly after the loss in the Super Bowl, Kansas City signed 11 players to future/reserve deals while deciding not to extend those same deals to seven players.
Kansas City has a big question mark regarding Travis Kelce's future, but the team gave him a timeline when they would like an answer on his decision.
This organization hasn't stopped from looking at other avenues to make acquisitions. On Thursday, the Chiefs signed Keontay Ingram, according to Aaron Wilson. Since he landed a reserve/future deal, he'll get a chance to make the roster during minicamp and training camp.

Chiefs News: Keontay Ingram Signed With Kansas City on Thursday
Ingram was a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. He was released by Arizona in Nov. 2023 before signing with the Chiefs shortly after.
Over the last two seasons, the 25-year-old has spent time on the practice squad before getting elevated to the active roster in September.
In 20 career games between the Chiefs and Cardinals, Ingram has recorded 62 carries for 134 yards, one touchdown, and eight first-down carries.
The Chiefs running back room will have some changes in 2025. Kareem Hunt and Samaje Perine are going to hit free agency and Pacheco is still trying to re-gain the bounce he had prior to fracturing his fibula/tibia.
Ingram may not be the answer for them long term, but gives Kansas City another option in the backfield.
Kansas City's roster will look different next season. Despite going 15-2, the Chiefs roster still had some flaws. Bringing back Ingram allows some continuity to stay within the offense as they turn the page over to 2025.
