The Kansas City Chiefs are 9-1 on the year and are coming off their first loss of the season. The Buffalo Bills topped Kansas City 30-21 in Week 11. The focus is now on the Carolina Panthers who will be coming to town on Sunday.

The Chiefs are still seeking to make a deep postseason run and win their third straight Super Bowl title. That is the mindset in Kansas City but draft talk around the NFL is picking up as multiple teams are looking ahead to 2025.

ESPN's Matt Miller released a 32-team mock draft and had the Chiefs taking an offensive tackle with the 32nd pick.

Chiefs Add to Offensive Line in ESPN Mock Draft

Miller mocked Kansas City taking offensive tackle Josh Simmons out of the Ohio State University.

"Both of the Chiefs' tackle spots continue to be big questions. Kingsley Suamataia, a second-rounder this year, was a healthy scratch in Week 11, and left tackle Wanya Morris has given up six sacks. Right tackle Jawaan Taylor hasn't worked out since signing a big contract before the 2023 season, leading all offensive linemen in penalties last season and ranking in the top 10 in that category this season. But Simmons could be the answer. He was trending toward OT1 status before sustaining a season-ending knee injury in October, and his recovery agility and use of length stand out."

Kingsley Suamataia was a 2024 second-round pick but has struggled immensely on the field. He has an overall PFF grade of 36.8, with 13 total pressures given up, five hits allowed, and three sacks allowed. In addition, he's committed three penalties. As Miller said, Suamataia was a healthy scratch, against the Bills and Wayna Morris has been inconsistent as well (seven penalties and three sacks allowed).

With the best quarterback in the NFL under center and the constant question marks at left tackle, it makes sense why the Chiefs could address tackle again.

Although Simmons is out for the 2024 season after suffering a knee injury in October, he could be the answer for the Chiefs. He's a loose and fluid mover with great quickness. Simmons beats edge rushers to their spots and takes great angles. Before going down with the knee injury, he didn't allow a single sack in 2024.

The NFL Draft is five months away, but this is someone the Chiefs Kingdom should keep an eye on.
