The NFL trade deadline is officially behind us and now the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for their Week 10 matchup against the Denver Broncos. In the crucial AFC West showdown, the Chiefs hope to continue their winning streak against one of the best defenses in the league.

Even though the Chiefs already made a few in-season moves, acquiring DeAndre Hopkins and Joshua Uche, some had expected GM Brett Veach to make another trade or two at the deadline.

The most obvious need was at cornerback after Jaylen Watson's injury. The front office, however, decided against it and opted to ride with the same CB group into the second half of the season.

Fortunately for them, they are getting healthier. Nazeeh Johnson, who took over as the starter in Week 8 before leaving the game with a concussion and missing last week's game, has returned to practice. He is reportedly trending toward playing in Week 10.

Chiefs News: CB Nazeeh Johnson Set to Return vs. Broncos on Sunday

This is great news for Johnson, who hopes to take advantage of this opportunity to establish his career. After being selected in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft, he spent time on the practice squad and appeared in 11 games as a rookie. Before the 2023 season, he suffered a torn ACL during training camp and missed the entire campaign.

This is the first season Johnson is seeing consistent snaps on the defensive end for the Chiefs. He has played at least 17 snaps in each game since Week 2, indicating the coaching staff's trust in the 26-year-old.

If Johnson is ready to go on Sunday, Joshua Williams will likely see a reduction in his snap count.
