The Kansas City Chiefs are returning to the postseason after clinching a playoff berth last week thanks to their win over the Las Vegas Raiders and the Miami Dolphins losing to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving night.

The two-time defending Super Bowl champs will try to win an unprecedented third consecutive title this season. However, it will not be easy as the AFC has gotten tougher this season. If the NFL playoff started today, the Chiefs would have the No. 1 seed, which is critical given some of their issues this season.

Kansas City understands how beneficial home-field advantage is as they have an outstanding 11-1 in the playoffs at Arrowhead since 2019. On Monday, the Chiefs announced that they will begin to sell potential AFC Divisional Round tickets on Wednesday, according to Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports.

According to the team’s press release, the divisional weekend is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, and Sunday, Jan. 19. If the Chiefs can hang onto the No. 1 seed in the AFC, they will play on one of those days.

However, if the Chiefs lose any of their remaining games, and the Buffalo Bills were to leapfrog them in the standings, Kansas City could be the Nos. 2 or 3 seed in the AFC, which means they could play during Super Wild Card Weekend.

Super Wild Card Weekend is scheduled to kick off the NFL playoffs, starting on Saturday, Jan. 11, and ending on Monday, Jan. 13. The Chiefs will try to clinch the AFC West title with a win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
