The Chiefs host the Chargers on Sunday Night Football at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. It's one of the most difficult matchups remaining and certainly one Kansas City can lose, though sportsbooks don't believe they will.

With the Chiefs atop the AFC trying to stay ahead of the Bills, the Chargers could play spoiler while improving their own playoff positioning.

Based on the odds from FanDuel Sportsbook, we'll have another tight battle on our hands. Luckily, the Chiefs are quite used to those at this point.

Chiefs vs. Chargers Week 13 SNF Opening Odds

The Chiefs are 3.5-point home favorites with -210 odds on the moneyline, giving them an implied probability of 67.74% to win the contest. The total is set at 44.5.

Kansas City beat Los Angeles 17-10 early in the year and fans should expect another dogfight against a division rival. The Chiefs have struggled of late from a spread perspective, going 0-6 against the spread (ATS) since beating the 49ers. The Chargers, meanwhile, are 5-1 ATS in that same stretch.

That said, the Chiefs have six consecutive wins in this series and we just saw the Ravens manhandle the Chargers last week. Justin Herbert is an excellent QB and Jim Harbaugh has done a great job in turning the franchise around in his first year, though these are still different classes of the teams.

This could be a defining moment for Los Angeles' season. If the Chargers can best the Chiefs and assert themselves in the AFC West, that'd make a massive statement. It's notable that the Chiefs have performed so poorly against the spread largely due to huge lines, yet it still wouldn't surprise anyone if Kansas City only won this game by three points.

It'll likely be close no matter what happens and fans should get ready for an epic battle between two high-quality playoff teams.
