Chiefs Get Big Injury News on Four Starters at Friday's Practice
By Joe Summers
The Kansas City Chiefs are the healthiest they've been all year going into Sunday's AFC Championship against the Buffalo Bills, giving the two-time defending Super Bowl champions a major edge.
One key Bills starter was already ruled out. While the Chiefs had multiple players on the injury report, Friday's practice shed some light on the statuses of guys like Patrick Mahomes, Mike Caliendo, Jawaan Taylor and Jaylen Watson.
Fortunately for Kansas City, all four starters were working on Friday and should be set for Sunday's pivotal matchup.

There wasn't any real concern that any of these players would participate. Pete Sweeney of Arrowhead Pride reported that Mahomes, Caliendo, Taylor, and Watson all practiced and shouldn't have any limitations.
Meanwhile, the Bills' loss of starting safety Taylor Rapp represents a major loss. When these teams met in the regular season, the Chiefs were missing Watson, Charles Omenihu, and Isiah Pacheco among others while Buffalo was missing Dalton Kincaid and Matt Milano. The latter two should play, though Rapp's absence creates a big hole in a secondary that already ranked in the bottom 10 in opponent yards per pass (6.8).
Kansas City's offensive line was the subject of much debate this year. Things stabilized once Caliendo started at guard and Joe Thuney slid to left tackle, though the group is thin should Caliendo be limited.
Luckily, it sounds like his appearance on the injury report was merely a precaution to give him some additional rest. Aside from rising star Rashee Rice and playoff hero Mecole Hardman, the Chiefs are as healthy as fans could ask for. Hopefully, that'll result in a victory on Sunday.
