Chiefs vs. 49ers is Week 7's marquee matchup and coincidentally, it'll mark the first time that Tom Brady's broadcast crew will announce a Kansas City game.

Brady beat Patrick Mahomes in a Super Bowl and AFC Championship, then retired before Mahomes could ever get his revenge. Just hearing his voice will make some fans cringe, despite the growing sentiment that Mahomes is already a better QB than Brady ever was.

The Patriots legend has the rings of course but if the Chiefs pull off the three-peat, arguments surrounding the two undisputed Hall of Famers will only intensify.

Tom Brady Will Announce Chiefs vs. 49ers in Week 7

It's a peculiar situation for Brady, who was confirmed as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders just this week. They might be division rivals in theory, though the Raiders are such a pathetic dysfunctional franchise that it's hard to take them seriously.

Brady could help change the organization's fortunes. There's no question that he knows how to win, but it'll be interesting to hear him call a Chiefs game while simultaneously having an ownership stake with a frequent foe.

Certain restrictions are placed on Brady's broadcast access during the week, so it could create a strange environment for his in-game analysis. His first six weeks have been met with both criticism and encouragement, though his broadcasts may suffer due to his new responsibilities.

Either way, Brady remains the only ghost Mahomes is chasing. Brady has two playoff wins that Mahomes can't make up but at least this Sunday, Mahomes gets the chance to show his rival how much he's grown.

Here's hoping Brady mentions how disrespectful the sportsbooks are being at some point.
