Kansas City Chiefs fans had a level of belief that, after returning to practice earlier in the week, Xavier Worthy would finally make his 2025 debut. However, the latest update from the franchise ruled the pass catcher out long before game time, not even giving Worthy the chance to travel with his teammates. It is a frustrating setback and leaves fans wondering what the offense will look like Sunday night against the Giants. So much of this season's expectations were placed on Worthy with Rashee Rice suspended.

Now, fans have no idea when he will return or what version of the receiver they will get when he finally takes the field. Rice won't be back until the middle of October, leaving a clear sense of urgency moving forward. Given what we saw throughout the offseason, there will be no shortage of fan speculation and attention placed on a potential reunion with Tyreek Hill. The receiver spent his best seasons with Patrick Mahomes, and clearly wants out of South Beach. Judging from the Miami Dolphins' 0-3 start, Hill's body language screams that the star needs a change of scenery.

Chiefs Fans Cannot Help but Hope for Tyreek Hill Blockbuster After Latest News

Kansas City GM Brett Veach would be in odd territory of trading with a team that you sent Hill to in the first place. However, it is clear the Chiefs won the initial trade, and there would be nothing but excitement if the franchise were to reverse the move. Hill's impact and speed are obvious even in the mess that is the winless Dolphins. If the Kansas City run game can come to life just a bit more, Hill would be the missing piece to put the franchise back on top.

Imagine heading into the playoffs as an opposing defense attempting to scheme to cover Rice, Hill, and Worthy in a must-win game. Add in Travis Kelce and Hollywood Brown, and instantly the unit has gone from one of the biggest liabilities around the league to arguably the most complete group in football. Mahomes has an incredible chemistry with Hill that would take very little time to get back on track, even after the years apart.

For Worthy, this takes pressure off a player who is clearly going to have limitations when he returns. The potential for his shoulder popping out again remains a worry with his slight frame and the severity of the injury. It makes sense to bring in another playmaker who can take pressure off Worthy in his return and allow the speedster to be the third option, who isn't required to fight for yardage or absorb consistent contact.

Worthy's injury update should serve as a sense of urgency that a move is needed, and the Chiefs know exactly who the perfect fit would be. It's time to bring Hill back to Kansas City and remind the league that this dynasty isn't over just yet.
