Chiefs Already Receiving Huge Blowback Over 2024 Draft Pick
The Kansas City Chiefs made a surprising move when they traded with the Buffalo Bills to move from the 32nd pick to the 28th pick in the 2024 draft. With that pick, the Chiefs selected the player who recorded the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL combine history, Xavier Worthy.
Worthy's selection excited Chiefs fans because of what Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill did in the past. Unfortunately, Worthy has had some difficulties adjusting to the NFL. Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report recently released an article grading all the first-round draft picks through 12 games.
Sobleski gave Worthy a C grade so far and had this to say about him:
"The 21-year-old hasn't been the threat some thought he could be. He's not the next Tyreek Hill in Kansas City. So far, he's been a solid option on a team searching for any wide receiver to help Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce."

Chiefs News: Xavier Worthy received a C grade for his play so far from Bleacher Report
It's hard to argue with Sobleski's C grade for Worthy. After all, Worthy has only recorded 33 receptions on 61 targets for 407 yards and four touchdowns.
Much of Worthy's 54% completion rate when targeted is his fault, especially since he has had trouble getting both feet down in bounds. Despite this, Mahomes is also slightly culpable for Worhy's struggles. Mahomes has definitely missed a few throws where Worthy was wide open, including a few last week against the Raiders.
Not shown in this video was the ten-yard out route that Worthy was wide open on, and Mahomes missed against the Raiders. Clearly, Worthy's struggles aren't all his fault, as it seems that he and Mahomes lack chemistry.
That is certainly an issue this far into the season for a player the Chiefs have high hopes for. Hopefully, the two can figure something out before the playoffs start because they'll need some explosive plays in the playoffs.
Until Mahomes and Worthy figure it out, Sobleski's "C" grade is totally fair.
