The Kansas City Chiefs added some major speed at the wide receiver position this offseason when they drafted Xavier Worthy. Worthy ran a 4.21-second 40-yard dash at this past year's combine, setting the record for the fastest ever.

Worthy's selection was met with a lot of excitement by Chiefs fans because of what Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill had done before Hill left for Miami. Unfortunately, Worthy has had a slow start to his rookie season.

Through ten games, Worthy has 24 catches on 48 targets for 307 receiving yards and four touchdowns. On the ground, Worthy has contributed ten carries for 44 yards and two touchdowns.

One of Worthy's biggest issues so far has been making catches on the sideline. On four separate occasions, Worthy has stepped out of bounds after only getting one foot down, nullifying big plays.

This mistake occurred again this past weekend when Worthy failed to get two feet down on what could have been a 42-yard catch. Missing out on a big play like that cost the Chiefs points that they desperately needed on that drive.

In Week 9 when Worthy made a similar mistake against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Andy Reid commented saying, "He'll learn from it."

Despite Reid's words, two weeks later, Worthy made the exact same mistake, raising concerns about his progress.

During his Monday press conference Reid commented on Worthy's mistake against the Bills explaining he needs to needs to do a better job of getting his feet dwn but that comes with experience.

Reid once again emphasized that with more experience, Worthy will learn to drag his feet, which is most definitely true. However, after nine games and three previous mistakes, Worthy should have already learned how to get his feet down in bounds.

The fact that he hasn't is certainly concerning, especially since it potentially cost Kansas City a win against the Bills and could cost them another game in the future.

Worthy better get his act together fast or chiefs fans will continue to turn on him.
