The Kansas City Chiefs' dream of becoming the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls blew up in flames on Sunday night as the Philadelphia Eagles trounced the two-time defending champions 40-22.

This loss hurts and fans are already demanding major changes across the organization. It can be difficult to stay patient in moments like these, though the Chiefs have more than earned our benefit of the doubt.

While the national landscape is celebrating Kansas City's defeat, sportsbooks have already released odds for next year's Super Bowl. Even with the loss, the Chiefs are still favored to hoist the Lombardi Trophy next season over at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Betting Odds to Win Super Bowl

Kansas City Chiefs

+650

Buffalo Bills

+700

Philadelphia Eagles

+700

Baltimore Ravens

+700

Detroit Lions

+900

The Chiefs have the best odds at +650 while the Buffalo Bills, Eagles, and Baltimore Ravens are tied for second at +700. The Detroit Lions round out the top five at +900.

There isn't anything particularly surprising about these odds. Philadelphia is losing offensive coordinator Kellen Moore to the New Orleans Saints, Detroit lost both coordinators, and neither Buffalo nor Baltimore have beaten Kansas City in the playoffs.

We're obviously a long way out from the Super Bowl and these odds can shift dramatically, especially with free agency and the NFL Draft in the coming months. Either way, these opening odds suggest the Chiefs will once again be competing for a title. The roster won't be the same as guys like Trey Smith, Charles Omenihu, Nick Bolton, and Justin Reid are all up for contract extensions, though the core of the roster will remain in place.

As long as Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are in Kansas City, the Chiefs are a great bet to win it all. They were thoroughly outclassed on Sunday, yet fans should still feel optimistic moving forward.

Hopefully, next year's team can harness the pain they're feeling right now and use it as motivation to tear through the rest of the league.
