The Chiefs received a huge Isiah Pacheco injury update mere hours before a Week 11 matchup with the Bills, as it sounds like the star running back will be available in Week 12 should Kansas City choose to activate him.

Pacheco hasn't played since Week 2. While Kareem Hunt has been fantastic in his absence, there's no question that Pacheco's return makes this a more dynamic offense.

Considering the vast number of offensive injuries the Chiefs have suffered this season, Pacheco will make a massive difference once he gets back on the field.

Chiefs Get Big Isiah Pacheco Injury Update Before Week 12

Kansas City faces a lowly Carolina Panthers team, so there's no rush to bring Pacheco back. That said, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Pacheco will be healthy should the Chiefs want to play him.

"(Pacheco) started practicing this week, not quite ready," Rapoport said regarding Pacheco. "My understanding is that he is expected to be healthy enough next week. They (the Chiefs) have a short week coming up after that so maybe the trainers just as a precaution."

It's critically important that Pacheco is healthy for the stretch run and playoffs. He had 1,179 yards from scrimmage and nine TDs in 2023 and notched 189 with a score before getting hurt. Andy Reid hasn't been shy about running Hunt into the ground, so Pacheco's return will give the running back rotation some breathing room.

After the Panthers, the Chiefs host the Raiders and Chargers in consecutive weeks. Those are more important matchups, though it wouldn't be a surprise to see Pacheco get a few carries against the Panthers to help shake off the rust.

Either way, "he is coming and it should be soon," as Rapoport concludes. It's beautiful news for Chiefs Kingdom and terrible for the rest of the NFL desperate to stop the league's best team.
