The Kansas City Chiefs were completely embarrassed in their loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl 59. It was a lopsided affair from start to finish, as the Eagles walked away with a 40-22 win at the end.
One of the more disappointing aspects of the loss for Chiefs fans was seeing head coach Andy Reid's lack of adjustments. The experienced play-caller didn't coach his best game in his sixth Super Bowl appearance.
The offensive line struggled from the get-go, Mahomes didn't thrive under pressure, and the Chiefs failed to establish a run game. While Chiefs fans were hoping for things to change in the second half, it was more of the same after the halftime. Reid's inability to find an answer to the offensive woes was certainly frustrating for the fans.
However, after the game, Reid said the team will "learn from this", per Chiefs insider Pete Sweeney.

Chiefs News: Andy Reid Issues First Statement After Super Bowl 59 Loss
Super Bowl 59 was eerily reminiscent of Super Bowl 55 when the Chiefs were outclassed by the Bucs on their way to a 31-9 loss. Reid followed that loss with a trip to the AFC championship game and back-to-back Lombardi Trophies, so Chiefs fans should probably not overreact to Sunday's disappointment.
At the same time, the Chiefs' struggles on the offensive side of the ball were obvious all season. Patrick Mahomes had the worst season of his career, which was generally masked by elite defense, close wins, and impressive comebacks.
The Chiefs' offense finished 15th in scoring and 16th in total yards. The offensive line was a work in progress all season, having to move the offensive line around for the glaring blindside protection weakness.
That said, Reid and the Chiefs have to learn after this loss is the fact that they can't trust Mahomes to overcome the roster's weaknesses and bail them out time and time again. He needs elite talent around him, and that starts with fixing the offensive line in the offseason.
