7 Most Disappointing Chiefs Despite 5-0 Start

Even though the Kansas City Chiefs are 5-0, the 2024 season has been far from perfect. These seven players have been the most disappointing Chiefs through five games.

4. Derrick Nnadi, DT

Last season, Derrick Nnadi was one of the most consistent parts of the Chiefs' defensive line. The former 2018 third-rounder started in all 18 of his appearances between the regular season and playoffs while tallying a total of 13 solo tackles, one sack, and a broken-up pass along the way.

Unfortunately, Nnadi hasn't made the same impact this season.

The 28-year-old defensive tackle has recorded only one solo tackle while making each of his five appearances in a backup role. He's yet to play more than 14 defensive snaps in a game and was only on the field for six during the Chiefs' victory over the Saints.

Nnadi's underlying stats also don't do him any favors. Pro Football Focus is currently giving him a 30.6 grade for overall defense as well as marks of 35.1 and 44.0 for run defense and pass rushing, respectively. He's also missed 33.3% of his tackling attempts, resulting in a tackle grade of 23.4 — the worst performance of his career.

The Chiefs' defense has been one of the brightest spots of their season and it's no thanks to Nnadi. If he wants to potentially add a fourth Super Bowl ring to his collection, he must figure out how to contribute positively.
