2. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR
Sticking with WRs, JuJu Smith-Schuster is another Chiefs playmaker in dire need of a strong Super Bowl showing.
Following a year-long stay with the New England Patriots, Smith-Schuster returned to Kansas City in hopes of turning his career around this season.
He wound up suiting up for 14 regular-season appearances, making 18 catches for 231 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His performance is made less impressive when considering that seven receptions and 130 yards came against the New Orleans Saints in Week 5.
After being relatively quiet since early October, Smith-Schuster showed signs of life when he tallied two catches for 60 yards in the AFC Championship Game. It's the type of veteran performance Chiefs fans were hoping to see more often from the former Pro Bowl playmaker, leaving time to tell if he can replicate that success in Super Bowl 59.
Smith-Schuster will become a free agent next month and is at the point of his career when his on-field performances no longer guarantee contract offers. Having said that, winning another Super Bowl ring with the Chiefs could potentially guarantee him a depth role in Andy Reid's offense in 2025.
