3 Chiefs Coaches Who Will Be Gone After the Super Bowl

There's a chance these three coaches won't be back in Kansas City next season whether the Chiefs defeat or lose to the Eagles in Super Bowl 59.

3. Dave Toub, Special Teams Coordinator

Losing Spagnuolo would be one thing, but it's even harder to imagine the Chiefs' coaching staff without special teams coach Dave Toub.

Toub, 62, might be contemplating retirement after spending nearly 40 years coaching in college and the NFL. The last 12 years of his career have been spent managing the Chiefs' special teams units, and he was even promoted to assistant head coach ahead of the 2018 campaign.

Even though some coaches know a thing or two making making field goals and returning punts, Toub has turned special teams into an art form. Not only has he turned the Chiefs into a scoring threat whenever the offense isn't on the field, but he also played a massive role in legendary returner Devin Hester's Pro Football Hall of Fame career.

With three Super Bowl rings and a potential fourth on the way, Toub also might decide to call it a career after the Chiefs leave New Orleans. He might also opt to switch organizations given that his son, Shane, is an offensive quality control coach for the Washington Commanders, and the NFL isn't a stranger to the occasional father-son coaching team-up.

Hopefully, the Chiefs can win at least one more Super Bowl with Toub in the mix before he decides to leave, whether it's to retire or for another reason.
