Sporting KC vs Austin FC Odds, Prediction and Pick (Two High-Powered Attacks Square Off)

We’ve hit three straight bets on Sporting matches after cashing a +320 winner Wednesday night. Let’s stay hot this weekend as Austin FC hosts Sporting tomorrow in another critical contest for KC’s playoff hopes.

Austin sits three points ahead of Sporting in the standings, so an outright win would tie the clubs. Sporting has just two losses in its last eight matches while scoring two or more goals in three straight.

The club needs that offense against Austin, who has at least three goals in three of its last five. Sporting did beat this squad 4-1 last month at home, and I think we’ll see a high-scoring match once again.

Let’s look at the odds before jumping into my best bet.

Sporting is on an excellent stretch, having lost just once in its last six on the road and twice overall since May 28th. Alan Pulido’s is on fire but Johnny Russell and Daniel Salloi both found the back of the net themselves on Wednesday.

Austin is no slouch though. The club led by Sebastian Driussi won four of its last five home matches, outscoring its opponent 10-3 in those games.

Sporting’s strength in the midfield should provide a possession advantage, though Austin is dangerous. With two excellent offenses, I think we’re in for a healthy dose of goals. Both teams scored in seven of Sporting’s last nine contests and KC surrendered a goal in nine straight road matches.

In six of Austin’s last eight, both teams scored as well. Given the fast pace I think we’ll see and the firepower on both sides, I’m taking both teams to score as my best bet.
