KC Chiefs Mock Draft 4.0

Round 4: Pick 136 – Adetokunbo Ogundeji, EDGE (Notre Dame)

EDGE. Fighting Irish . Adetokunbo Ogundeji. 136. player. 819.

The Chiefs spend back-to-back picks on Notre Dame prospects with their fourth-rounder being Adetokunbo Ogundeji. The EDGE rusher from Notre Dame had a tremendous 2020 season, posting six sacks and six tackles for loss through 10 games.

What’s appealing about Ogundeji is that the Chiefs would have options with where to slot him at. If they want to get throw him in right away, he could be a hybrid defensive lineman, but if they want to take some time and let him develop a little more, Ogundeji could become more of a project at as an EDGE.

Landing this kind of talent on Day 3 of the draft would be huge and would once again show that the Chiefs can lock down premier players in the fourth round (they took L’Jarius Sneed in round four last year). Ogundeji’s versatility makes him a very intriguing prospect and he’d be put to work in this defense.

As we saw in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs’ defense needs fine-tuning nad Ogundeji would give them a great weapon for the foreseeable future.
