In Chiefs news, J.J. Watt is a free agent and Chris Jones wants him to come to Kansas City.

After 10 years with the Houston Texans, J.J. Watt is a free agent and able to sign wherever he wants. Chris Jones hopes that Watt selects the Kansas City Chiefs. Jones mentioned this during an interview with Sports Radio 810 WHB.

"“J.J. Watt has been my favorite player throughout the league my whole career,” Jones said. “He was the Aaron Donald before Aaron Donald — he was J.J. Watt, you know? So he’s still my favorite player. Would I love to play with him if the opportunity presents itself? Hell yeah. But you never know how these things go. He’s a free agent for the first time in his career. He might want to play with his brother or something, I don’t know.”"

The consensus everywhere else seems to be that Watt will either go to Pittsburgh to — as Jones said — play with his brothers T.J. Watt and Derek Watt or to Green Bay, as he grew up in Wisconsin. These are the two easy teams to link Watt too and either of them would give him a chance to win a Super Bowl.

The best chance to win a Super Bowl, however, would come with the Kansas City Chiefs, who have been to the last two and won it all in the 2019 season. There’s not a better team to sign with if a player is ring chasing.

The Chiefs could certainly use Watt too, as their defense had its ups and downs a season ago. He’d be a great addition to the defensive line, which also includes Jones, Derrick Nnadi, and Frank Clark.

While Watt will probably pick one of the more obvious teams (and for whatever reason, Cleveland is also a team he’s been linked to, which is mind-boggling), the image of him donning a Kansas City Chiefs uniform is a pretty cool one.

There’s no doubt that Kansas City could use Watt and what he could bring to this defense, but he’s probably going to want more money than what they can afford to offer. Is winning a title more important to Watt or is getting paid one final time in his career the more important aspect when making this decision?
