Does Madden think the KC Chiefs will run it back and win their second straight Super Bowl?

Super Bowl LV pits the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, marking the fifth meeting between Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady. That’s the biggest talking point heading into this matchup, but the game could come down to the defenses from both teams.

The offenses, especially the Chiefs, are red hot and can put up points quickly. If the Bucs can contain the Chiefs’ explosive offense, they have a great chance to win the game. If, however, the Chiefs are able to do whatever the heck they want to and the KC defense makes a play or two, the Chiefs should be on their way to a second straight Super Bowl title.

Does Madden think the KC Chiefs are going to be Super Bowl champions come Sunday?

Madden might have the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, but don’t let the 11-point victory fool you. The video game actually projected a very close game until the fourth quarter when Kansas City eventually broke away and iced the game late.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes putting up these numbers wouldn’t shock anyone and if these were his stats on Sunday, he’d likely be on his way to a second straight Super Bowl MVP. The run game does enough, but much like the rest of the season, the Chiefs’ passing game propelled them to the top. Both Kelce and Hill finish with over 100 receiving yards while Hardman gets in on the action too with over 50 yards through the air.

Defensively, the Chiefs make plays too, as they total 3.5 sacks on Brady and pick him off three times. Two of those interceptions occur in the fourth quarter and that’s when the Chiefs capitalize and put the game out of reach.

For the Bucs, they might lose by 11 points, but they kept it close. Brady’s two interceptions in the fourth quarter ultimately sink their season and their Super Bowl dreams despite their defense making plays (picking off Mahomes and sacking him four times).

Hopefully, Madden is correct with this simulation and the KC Chiefs are indeed Super Bowl champs when the final whistle blows.
