The Kansas City Chiefs host the Atlanta Falcons at Arrowhead in Week 16.

The 13-1 Kansas City Chiefs look to clinch the No. 1 seed in Week 16 against the 4-10 Atlanta Falcons. Both teams are coming off close games with the Chiefs coming away with a win, unlike the Falcons. The Chiefs’ win was quite a struggle, even though it felt like they should have walked away with an easy victory. Kansas City hopes that this game will be a smoother ride and with that said, here are four things to watch in Week 16.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Atlanta Falcons – What to Watch: Loss of CEH, Rise of Bell

The Chiefs found plenty of success on the ground in New Orleans, as Le’Veon Bell and Clyde Edwards-Helaire had solid performances while sharing carries. Edwards-Helaire had more yards with a better average, however, Bell had the team’s only rushing touchdown.

Unfortunately, the Chiefs lost Edwards-Helaire to an ankle injury. This injury knocked out the star rookie for the remainder of the game and regular season. This means more opportunities for the remaining backs, but more specifically, Bell. The Chiefs will more than likely switch in Darrel Williams with Bell periodically, but count on Bell to have the most snaps and be in for crucial moments.

Bell has proven to be a crucial mid-season sign for KC. He has already filled in for Edwards-Helaire once due to an illness and has shown signs of explosiveness throughout his time with KC including a few broken tackles turning nothing into something. Even with Bell, the Chiefs’ focus will not be the ground game against Atlanta.
