Kansas City Chiefs who are heating up – No. 4: Sammy Watkins

While his numbers haven’t jumped off the page by any means, Sammy Watkins is back on the field for the Chiefs and has been since Week 12. During that time, Watkins has hauled in 10 receptions for 125 yards and while he didn’t have a touchdown in those three games, he still made an impact.

Watkins only caught two passes last week against the Dolphins but had 52 yards receiving, his third-highest total this season. We’ve seen how dominant Watkins can be in the playoffs and if he has another big game this weekend in New Orleans, Chiefs fans will be feeling really good about what Watkins will be able to provide in the playoffs.

Kansas City Chiefs who are heating up – No. 3: Chris Jones

After several weeks of stagnant play, Chris Jones finally got going this past week. He was limited against the Raiders and Buccaneers, but he made sure to make the Dolphins’ offense a living hell all afternoon long. In that game, Jones had four tackles (one for a loss, which ended up going for a safety) and one sack.

The Chiefs defense relies heavily on Jones and we saw how smothering they could be when he’s at his best. After he didn’t do much for a couple of games, fans knew it was only a matter of time before the Jones we all know and love came roaring back.

A healthy Chris Jones is the most terrifying thing for the rest of the offenses remaining on the Chiefs’ regular-season schedule as well as their postseason schedule.
