4. Bashaud Breeland

The Chiefs really did get quite the bargain both times they’ve brought Bashaud Breeland in on a one-year deal. He was a game-changer in their Super Bowl-winning season and he continued to be someone who makes big plays when the team needs it the most.

Breeland makes this list for his interception off of Tom Brady, the first of the day for Brady. Breeland also had two defended passes and had a tackle to his name as well. His pick off of Brady is what earned him a spot on my top performers list though.

3. Tyrann Mathieu

Just like Breeland, Tyrann Mathieu found his way onto this list because of his pick off of Brady. It was the second of the day for the “GOAT” and while the Chiefs, unfortunately, didn’t do anything with the turnover, it prevented the Buccaneers from adding points to what ended up being a three-point game.

Mathieu also had five tackles and a defended pass in the win. The Chiefs safety was also responsible for creating the pressure that forced the first interception, so it’s even more fitting that he and Breeland appear on the same page.

After a rough outing against the Raiders last week, it was nice to see the Honey Badger bounce back and make plays for this defense.
