The Kansas City Chiefs narrowly escaped Week 9 with a 33-31 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Who played well for the Chiefs?

Kansas City Chiefs fans weren’t expecting Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers to come down to the final play, but that’s exactly what transpired at Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas City was fortunate to win and move to 8-1 on the year, but it wasn’t the prettiest of wins for the reigning Super Bowl champs.

Despite putting up 33 points, the defense stalled and surrendered 31 points while also allowing Teddy Bridgewater and Christian McCaffrey to have huge days. It wasn’t a good look for the defense.

But, since the Chiefs won, this week’s post game article is about those who played well for the victors, not those who struggled. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

4. Frank Clark

The defense had a rough day against Carolina, but Frank Clark played well and deserves a spot on this list. Clark had one of the two sacks on the day and also notched two quarterback hits and two tackles (one for loss).

The sack Clark had forced the Panthers into a 2nd and 27, which was huge at that time. It really did feel like the momentum had flipped after that sack was made, but as we know, the Panthers didn’t let up and nearly stole the win from the champs.

Clark has been back and forth since signing a large contract over a year ago, but when it comes down to it, Clark the Shark steps up and makes a play. It’d be nice to see the pass rush get home more often, but two sacks is better than none.
