Mecole Hardman

Last week, Trey Donovan of KC Kingdom called out Demarcus Robinson and told him to step up against the Bills. Robinson did just that, leading the team in receiving yards and stepping in for the injured Sammy Watkins.

Now it’s time for Mecole Hardman to step it up and be a wide receiver who Patrick Mahomes can count on. Hardman has 13 catches for 194 yards and two touchdowns through six games this season and while that’s respectable for a WR3, he needs to serve as the WR2 in Denver this weekend.

Hardman laid an egg in Buffalo last weekend, only receiving one target, but not making the catch. It’ll be really important for him to up the ante against the Broncos because as we saw last week, it’s possible to take Tyreek Hill out of the game. If Hill is removed from being an option for the second straight week, Hardman has to be able to get open and make plays.

Harrison Butker

Not going to lie, I’m growing a little concerned about Harrison Butker after he missed his fourth extra point of the season. I know Butker is the reason the Chiefs aren’t 4-2 right now, as they should have lost the game to Los Angeles in Week 2, but his 58 yarder helped win the game, but it’s hard not to be worried about four missed extra points.

It hasn’t come back to bite the Chiefs yet, but it definitely will at some point. Throw in that Butker is going up against an equally talented kicker this week in Brandon McManus and a missed extra point could be costly. Hopefully Butker proves me wrong and is perfect in all facets of the game this weekend.

Obviously Chiefs Kingdom is most excited to watch Le’Veon Bell this weekend and I’m right there with them. The Chiefs could never beat Bell, so they decided to join him and have him run roughshod over their opponents the rest of the way.
