Kansas State football heads into the Sunflower Showdown on a hot streak, winning their last three games, and look to add onto it by beating KU.

This will be the first easy game of the year for the Kansas State Wildcats, as every game so far has been a close match. The Sunflower Showdown has not exactly been an even match-up for 12 years considering Kansas State has won every year since 2008 when Mark Mangino was still the Jayhawks’ head coach.

The Wildcats at 3-1 and 3-0 in conference play while the Jayhawks are winless on the season, but are coming off their best in-conference game against West Virginia. That does not mean a whole lot though, as Kansas lost 38-17, but did lead the country in pass breakups for that game.

The Wildcats are coming off a bye week after a close game at TCU where the defense won the game on AJ Parker’s pick-six. They won the game 21-14 with Will Howard winning in his first career start and now he will face one of the easiest teams in all of the Power 5 conferences.

The Wildcats are very heavy favorites in this game and they are the No. 20 ranked team in the country. Everyone will expect the Wildcats to pretty much blow KU out of the water, and to add to it, the game is in Manhattan.

Here’s what to watch for in the 2020 version of the Sunflower Showdown.
